Saladin
and his Crusaders were already on their way, when we met them in Oldenburg.
We transfered the exhibition to Mannheim and performed on the entire
set-up of the exhibition. Among the objects were heavy fragments
from the Israel Museum, as well extremly delicate loans from the British, French, Italian and Danish collections.
Other
important lenders were the British Museum, the Victoria & Albert
Museum, the Imperial War Museum, the Bibliotheque National, the Musee du
Louvre, the Musee des Monuments Francais, the Nationalmuseet in Copenhagen,
the Museo Barghello in Florence, the Rikjsmuseum in Amsterdam and more. With a total of 38 couriers on site the schedule for the installation in Mannheim was a great experience for both the REM-staff and our team, because an extremly amicable cooperation built the base for this succesful project.
